"The problem with Jedi is it's so hard to trick them, which is really unfair. All that mind reading stuff would put good folk like me out of a job"
Leaning over and rest his elbows on the counter, fairly animated.
"I gotta admit, never pulled a job against the Hapans. Always thought they were a bit too good to be true, yah know? All good looking, all rich but also all apparently badass? They got great PR for a nation of pirates. Not to mention their grudge against the jedi for setting them free, weird lot. Still, I suppose a tropical resort full of beautiful rich aliens could be worse..."

It sure does sound like PR, I'm sure the truth is probably somewhere closer to the middle. Hopefully, the part about them being rich is true. They might not even miss it! "Huh, I guess kind of like an artifact. I guess this is more realistic than some key to a legendary tomb or something. I could imagine it might be considered a boogieman to some, considering that there might be secrets that could topple people or even some planets," she mused.

Teffa took a long sip from her thermos, likely trying to down what little contents was left in it. "They aren't exactly pristine or humble people from the sounds of it. Maybe it's just something they had the entire time, like a card in their sleeve. Leverage and something they'll be happy to use if they ever get in trouble. Did anyone ask how much trouble the Hapen might be in?"

"Huh, I guess kind of like an artifact. I guess this is more realistic than some key to a legendary tomb or something. I could imagine it might be considered a boogieman to some, considering that there might be secrets that could topple people or even some planets," she mused.

Teffa took a long sip from her thermos, likely trying to down what little contents was left in it. "They aren't exactly pristine or humble people from the sounds of it. "Not that I can remember. Maybe they're up to their pristine hair in trouble? I don't know how I'd feel about bringing down a whole government but...things happen."

Teffa raised a brow. "It was just a thought...Wouldn't that be an entirely different job? I don't think Olon mentioned bringing anyone down. Whatever happens with the book afterwards is not entirely our business. For that reason alone, I know this definitely won't be Olon's last job or anyone else's if they manage to get out of this alive."

The clawdite looks over with some interest.

She gave a few small nods in consideration at that. "She could, it's in her right as the boss of the operation and gang. I mean, hired help don't really have much of a place to complain. At the very least, I'm sure my name isn't on this black book. Or at the very least, maybe a footnote? I don't think I'd be losing that much sleep on whom it might go to."

There are a few pensive moments before he shrugs
“Probably at least. I suppose I should be taking Mauly and getting out of your hair before he starts shedding some of his own.”

"Change can come in small doses and hopefully the fortunes stay on our side for this one after it's all said and done," she nodded and took another look at the cat creature in question.

"It's no biggie, I'm sure Arbee is scheduled to do some cleaning around here eventually. Best of luck with your new friend," she smirked as she stood from her seat and showed him out. "He seems like a handful or three!"

"Change can come in small doses and hopefully the fortunes stay on our side for this one after it's all said and done," she nodded and took another look at the cat creature in question.

"It's no biggie, I'm sure Arbee is scheduled to do some cleaning around here eventually. Best of luck with your new friend," she smirked as she stood from her seat and showed him out. "He seems like a handful or three!"

“Maybe I’ll turn into a Zygerrian and assert dominance... but feeding and nurturing the monster might be easier.”

Standing to follow Teffa
“Thanks for the bolt hole and the drink, I’ll owe you the same of you ever need it. And come by a show at the salon before we leave eh?”

"It'll be a tough act to keep, I'm sure. I think I'd bet on taking care of him and hashing out a mutual relationship as the better alternative," she chuckled, "You might get lucky and avoid an incident before we get to the Hapan system."

She opened the door leading to the ramp. "No sweat...And the salon here? Do you know the staff there?"

"It'll be a tough act to keep, I'm sure. I think I'd bet on taking care of him and hashing out a mutual relationship as the better alternative," she chuckled, "You might get lucky and avoid an incident before we get to the Hapan system."

He heads down the ramp, turning his head head answer her question.
“Yeah I know the staff a bit, it’s where I got my regular gig. We’re not tight but they haven’t fired me yet.”

"Now that's quite a catch line!" she chuckled, "I don't think it quite fits me so you're safe from me stealing it at least."

"That's a neat working relationship worth keeping, especially if things ever get hairy. Drop in and drop out. There aren't too many places like that in the galaxy. Sure, I'll be more than glad to check out the place!" she nodded as she walked down the ramp.
