News: Residents of the capital would not do something so plebeian as watch a news show. One's butler is supposed to bring the news with the morning kaf. And anyone who doesn't have a butler should be working hard to muster enough savings to afford one, the poor dear. It's not entirely clear where the butlers themselves get the news; possibly some combination of gossip, observation, and watching the local news for other more economically diverse regions.
However, the arts and culture show does have a certain amount of currently relevant items.
The show opens to music, while the view pans over a number of Hapes cultural items: paintings, sculptures, ornate holodisks, and more. There is even a lingering glimpse at the Crown Jewels.
Finally, the view comes to rest on a distinguished looking man, sitting on an overstuffed chair by a lit fireplace, a smoking-pipe in his hand.

"Good evening. And welcome to Hapes Masterclass. As always, I am your host, Quentain Travers the Third." The host said, smiling warmly, his voice deep and rich. "Thank you for joining me on this truly lovely evening, of what I do hope will be the first of many in this momentous week."
"I speak of the Royal nuptials, of course. After the first appropriately private meeting between our Prince Apollo and the eminently worthy Princess Erdene of Onderon, the royal couple has made their first appearance in public. As our expected viewing demographic may remember, the royal wedding protocols were last used nearly thirty-six years ago for our current king and queen, long may they reign." Solemnly, he placed a hand over his chest. "Although, of course, they were almost used a year after that, but the less said about that the better, hmm?"
"As the young couple prepares for their lives together, the Royal Archivists are preparing the Hapes Crown Jewels. The priceless artifacts are being painstakingly cleaned for their transport to the ceremony in two days time. As a symbol of the Hapes Royal Family, the Crown Jewels have an important part to play in the ceremony. It is a tradition dating back two millennia..."
From there, the history of the Crown Jewels is explored in extensive detail...
